San Francisco-based Union Bank of California, N.A. has namedMichael A. Janes chief executive officer of its insurancesubsidiary, UnionBanc Insurance Services Inc., a new positionwithin the company.
Mr. Janes joins the agency from Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs Co.,where he was regional director of its West Coast operations.
Johannes Worsoe, executive vice president of Union Bank andchairman of UnionBanc Insurance Services, said adding Mr. Janes tothe operation would allow the company to move ahead with plans tobecome a premier West Coast insurance agency. “We are very excitedabout the opportunities that lie ahead.”
