The Risk and Insurance Management Society Inc. said it isoffering a new online course, “Developing an Environmental RiskManagement Strategy.”
The course, offered through a partnership of RIMS andEnvironmental Strategist Inc., focuses on mitigating environmentalrisks such as mold, arsenic-treated lumber, silica dust and sickbuilding syndrome, by reducing liability exposures, litigation,business interruption, compliance costs and disposal expenses, RIMSsaid.
The course, it was explained, contains modules to illustrateconsequences of reactive strategies compared to the advantages ofadopting a proactive environmental strategy.
