Susan Cross, the chief actuarial officer for Bermuda-based XLCapital Ltd.'s reinsurance operations, has been named the company'snew global chief actuary.
|Ms. Cross is replacing James McNichols, who XL Capital said willleave the company at the end of April to pursue other interests.The promotion is also subject to Ms. Cross being approved byBermuda's insurance regulators.
|In her new position she will report to the company's presidentand chief executive officer, Brian M. O'Hara. Ms. Cross has beenwith XL since February of 1999, when she was named senior vicepresident and chief actuary of XL America Inc. She was appointed tooversee the actuarial duties of XL's reinsurance operations inAugust 2004.
