Assurant Solutions, a provider of third-party administrationservices, specialty insurance, and extended service contracts, hasacquired Recreational Finance, LLC (recfin), a developer ofWeb-based finance and insurance (F&I) operating systems for therecreational vehicle market in North America.Recreational Financebecomes part of Assurant's affiliate United Services ProtectionCorp., a provider of vehicle service contracts and related servicesto the Assurant Solutions Automotive and Recreational VehicleServices (ARVS) business. The acquisition includes rights to therecfin.net dealership F&I operating system, recfin F&Itraining services, the recfin.com operating system, and a dealermanagement system."Uniting recfin's delivery platforms with ourvehicle service and insurance programs enables us to offer avirtual F&I office to dealers," says Mike Anderson, senior vicepresident and head of Assurant's ARVS business. "This joining offorces brings the recreational market the latest in onlinecommunication, training, products, menu selling, forms generation,automatic product rating, and best practices, all in a consolidatedWeb-based package."Recfin will continue to maintain offices inNixa, Mo., where it has 25 employees. President and founder DennisHamilton will continue to head the new Assurant Solutions divisionand join Assurant as a vice president of United ServicesProtection.
