The American Institute for CPCU and Insurance Institute of America said it would allow rescheduling of some 2005 course examinations for students affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Those affected by the storm would be allowed to reschedule some 2005 exams for 2006.

Transfer of test dates can be done at no charge, but must be done as early as possible, no later than within three days of the test appointment date. However, students are urged to register early.

The Malvern, Pa.-based Institute said eligible students who wish to take advantage of this extension must call the customer service department at (800) 644-2101 or e-mail [email protected] to register for the exam extension. Online registration is not available.

Additional information is available by calling customer service.
