Claims management firm Crawford & Company Catastrophe Services said it is speeding up efforts to graduate dozens of trained adjusters to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Rita and other disasters.

The Atlanta-based firm said Crawford & Company's continuing education facility, Crawford University, has escalated adjuster recruiting and added training classes, noting that more than 100 individuals will receive basic adjuster training over the next several weeks.

Once they finish training, Crawford said the new adjusters will be immediately deployed to assist the industry in addressing client requirements associated specifically with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita as well as other catastrophic events.
