Progressive Casualty Insurance has filed a $1 million lawsuitagainst a Minnesota chiropractor, an attorney and others for ascheme to fraudulently bill the insurer for phony auto accidentinjury treatments.
The Mayfield, Ohio-based insurer filed suit in U.S. DistrictCourt for the District of Minnesota, against Alivio ChiropracticClinic Inc., located in Robbinsdale, Minn.
The suit alleges that the clinic owner, chiropractor JoshuaAnderson, St. Paul attorney Mark Karney, massage therapist AndreaBongart and office manager Alexis Aguilar were guilty of chargingfor medical services never performed and administering and billingfor unnecessary and excessive treatments.
