CIAB Web Has Disclosure Tool For Brokers

NU Online News Service, March 30, 3:34 p.m. EST?The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers has unveiled a new section on its Web site to assist brokers with fee disclosure issues.[@@]

The Washington, D.C.-based trade group said the new section is the first set of practical business resources designed to help its members develop their disclosure policies and procedures to address the individual needs of their clients.

The member-only tool gives practical suggestions for firms "that wish to achieve greater transparency in their dealings with customers."

The tools also include talking points to help insurance firms respond to client inquiries, the media and others. The points will be updated and amended as developments warrant, CIAB said. There are also archive materials and association reports available on the site.
