Hampton Leaves RIMS For Consulting

Jack Hampton, executive director of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, has resigned from his post.

Mr. Hampton, who started at RIMS in 2000, “has left to do consulting work,” according to Stephanie Orange, chief marketing officer for the New York-based corporate insurance buyers association. She declined to give any other information except that Mary Roth, chief operating officer for RIMS, will take over Mr. Hampton’s duties until a replacement is found.

Mr. Hampton was a former provost at the College of Insurance in New York as well as an author of risk management books. He served in a variety of other academic posts and did risk management consulting work around the world, including in Russia and China.
