InsureZone Tops 2,500 Agents

InsureZone reported that by the end of 2002 it had tripled thenumber of agents using its Web-based wholesale agency to purchasesmall commercial insurance.

InsureZone, a subsidiary of Ft. Worth, Texas-based insurancebroker Higgenbotham and Associates, announced that more than 2,500agents across the United States were approved to submit businessthrough its “MarketSecure” technology program.

|

Since its inception in Oct. 2001, InsureZone said it has quotednearly $33 million in small commercial premium.

|

For 2003, InsureZone said it is looking to broaden its productoffering to give agents more access to more business.

|

The Web-based wholesaler also plans to identify more productsthat would compliment the commercial offering as agents grow theirindividual practices.

|

The agency said there are more than 1,900 small-business classesavailable through its site for businessowners policies, workerscompensation, commercial auto and umbrella liability. Quotes andbinding can often be obtained in one day, from one of eightstandard carriers.

|

Directors and officers liability insurance, builders risk,errors and omissions, employment practices liability insurance, andbonds are also available.

|

InsureZone also announced that its Web portal division,AgentSecure, earned the exclusive endorsement of IBA West ServiceCorp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Insurance Brokers andAgents of the West.

|

IBA West Service Corp. focuses on the development of strategicpartnerships to provide products and services that help strengthenthe business position of the associations members.

|

IBA West, based in Oakland, Calif., is the 34th state orregional affiliate of the Alexandria, Va.-based IndependentInsurance Agents & Brokers of America to endorse AgentSecure asits preferred small commercial Web-based program, saidInsureZone.

|

AgentSecure is designed to fill the commercial insurance marketof small and rural member-agencies without premium volumerequirements.

|
