Priority Data Systems Adds MVR, C.L.U.E. To Rating System

NU Online News Service, May 29, 3:40 P.M. EST?Priority Data Systems has announced the addition of integrated motor vehicle records and Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange reports into its PriorityRate Windows and Internet-based comparative rating systems.

According to Omaha, Neb.-based Priority, agents will now be able to deliver accurate rates based on a client’s actual driving record without having to ask or enter the information at the point-of-sale.

The company said it has added the new reporting functionality for Priority’s agency users nationwide. MVR reports can be requested from within PriorityRate at any time during the rating process. Company-sponsored C.L.U.E. reports are ordered at the time of application.

Priority said it can then upload the application containing the MVR and C.L.U.E. report data to the carrier for policy issuance. (C.L.U.E. maintains a database of insurance claims filed, much like a credit reporting agency.)

According to Priority, PriorityRate captures all the information necessary to order the MVR or C.L.U.E. reports. The agency said it saves time by not having to do manual entry of driving record information from the rating process.

Carriers will benefit from only being forwarded qualified risks, eliminating returned or re-rated applications, the company claimed.

Priority Data Systems said it has been providing comparative and proprietary rating solutions for auto, home, BOP, farm, and commercial lines since 1984 to agency and company customers in 48 states. More information is available at
