Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services has selected ZestyAI for it's Severe Convective Storm suite, including the proprietary Z-HAIL, Z-WIND and Z-STORM models. ZestyAI’s AI-driven platform predicts the likelihood and severity of claims from severe convective storms at the individual property level by analyzing the interaction of local climatology with property-specific characteristics.

Markel has partnered with mea Platform to include its Canadian operations, following a successful deployment of mea’s generative AI solution in its London wholesale business. Mea’s AI-driven platform leveraged agentic AI extraction tools and a mixture of expert architecture to automate the extraction and transformation of unstructured data from submission-related documents into structured, analyzable formats. This enabled Markel to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual workloads and improve underwriter productivity, resulting in faster and more informed decision-making across its Canadian underwriting operations.
