Looking toward the year ahead, most insurance companies and related businesses intend to bring on additional staff, with underwriting and insurtech jobs in particularly high demand. As the insurance industry works to attract fresh talent, it is doing so during one of the toughest labor markets in decades, according to Marguerite Tortorello, managing director of Insurance Careers Movement. "The insurance industry is seeking new employees from a variety of job functions and offers career paths where you can bring your authentic self to work and you can contribute both professionally and personally to your company and your community," Tortorello said. The Insurance Careers Movement is a cross-industry program that aims "to promote the diverse and rewarding careers available in the insurance and attract fresh talent into the industry," according to the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, which is among the more than 1,000 global organizations that support the movement. As part of February's Insurance Careers Month celebration, the Insurance Careers Movement has launched a global social media campaign. The organization has made resources available for anyone wishing to help promote industry careers. To further help the cause of raising awareness for insurance careers, the above slideshow reviews 12 insurance stats to share throughout Insurance Careers Month. Related: |
