ISN Software Corp. However, the number of
workplace fatalities increased from 23 in 2021 to 153 in 2022, ISN reported. "Contact with object or equipment" was the most common cause of workplace deaths in 2022, accounting for 55% of fatalities. Trips, slips and falls accounted for 21% of workplace deaths, while overexertion and bodily reaction was responsible for 13% of job site fatalities. According to ISN, mid-size corporations experienced the highest rate of
fatalities. This might be due to a lack of dedicated health and safety employees at companies of small- and mid-size companies. ISN also found that sprains, strains and tears are once again the most commonly reported incidents across industries and accounted for 38% of incidents in 2022. Fractures and dislocations, which were the most common incidents of 2021, accounted for 29% of incidents in 2022.
