When it comes to worker injuries, the retail trade saw the second most injuries and illnesses from 2019-2021, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). In addition, retailers saw the largest increase in cases of injuries and illnesses from 2020-2021 among nearly all industries, BLS data shows. In 2020, there were some 341,100 incidents, while 2021 saw 404,700.
