Embedded travel insurance has become a popular option for those wanting to protect themselves while on vacation, and according to a recent study from Personal Financial Insider, 55% of insured travelers purchased their policy through a travel provider. Only 17% said they purchased it through a travel agent and 13% got their coverage from an insurance marketplace.

Around 38% of the 971 adults they surveyed in the U.S. said they had purchased insurance for a trip. Of those travelers, 35% bought coverage because they were concerned about the provider they booked with and 29% were worried about experiencing health issues while away from home.
