According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for insurance agents in the U.S. is expected to grow 6% from 2021-2031, with around 52,700 agents positions opening each year.
Demand for actuaries is even stronger. Open positions for actuaries are expected to increase 21% from 2021-2031, according to BLS, which noted this is much faster than the average for all occupations.
