To gain a better understanding of how policyholders truly view insurance companies across P&C, life and health lines, Forbes and Statista surveyed more than 15,000 consumers for the second annual America's Best Insurance Companies report. The companies were ranked on overall satisfaction in five categories:
  • Financial advice
  • Customer service
  • Transparency/Digital services
  • Price/performance
  • Damage/benefit
  • Likelihood of respondents to recommend the company
Forbes reported the best-rated insurance companies all embraced digital processes to deliver experiences that meet modern consumers' expectations. "Customers' ability to avoid face-to-face meetings, file claims online, and generally 'do-it-themselves' has been disruptive for those lagging in tech adoption," the report noted. While technology is giving some companies an advantage with policyholders, it isn't insulating them from the range of issues pressuring the auto insurance sector, according to the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I). These issues include growing loss costs being driven by increasing accident frequency and severity. More accidents are leading to more roadway fatalities and injuries, leading to more attorney involvement in claims, according to Triple-I. On top of this, auto insurers are also contending with supply chain issues and more costly repairs due to technology-laden vehicles. The above slideshow reveals the top-ranked auto insurance companies, according to the second annual Forbes/ Statista survey of America's Best Insurance Companies. Related:
