Liberty Mutual Insurance appointed Hamid Mirza as president and chief operating officer, Global Retail Markets US. He served as GRM executive vice president, chief product and innovation officer. BMS announced the following appointments:

• Nick Hocking: director of the marine division
• Tony Cuthbertson: director of the marine division

The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers announced that Steve Wolfenberger joined the company as vice president. He served at McGriff Insurance Services with experience as a senior consultant and team lead, as well as senior vice president at Alliant. The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers appointed Stuart Ganis as its executive vice president. He served as an independent agent in addition to providing consulting and training to the Liberty Company for 10  years. CFC announced that Graeme Newman has been appointed as the company's new CEO.
