BMS appointed Mark Aylward as managing director. He served as director of the North American and international property team at Tysers. Platinum Specialty Underwriters appointed Malcolm Gilreath as vice president of underwriting. He was previously president and owner of Proactive Transportation Safety Services Inc. Chubb Limited appointed Mark Hammond as deputy chief financial officer. He previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for the company's Europe and Eurasia & Africa regions. Mound Cotton Wollan & Greengrass LLP announced that two new special counsel are joining the firm:

• Vanessa Durante will focus on complex insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. Durante was previously with Cozen O'Connor.
• Ethan Friedman will focus on complex real estate and civil litigation, including insurance cases. Friedman was formerly with Fidelity National Law Group.
