The 84 insurance companies named on this year's
Inc. 5000 list generated more than $5 billion in revenue and created 15,501 jobs in 2019. The
annual ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies provides a snapshot of the most successful small-to-mid-size companies operating in the U.S. today. The companies on the 2020 Inc. 5000 collectively achieved a three-year average growth rate of over 500% and added more than 1 million jobs in the past three years. "The companies on this year's Inc. 5000 come from nearly every realm of business,"
Inc. Editor-in-Chief Scott Omelianuk said in a statement. "From health and software to media and hospitality, the 2020 list proves that no matter the sector, incredible growth is based on the foundations of tenacity and opportunism." Fifty-five insurance companies are repeat honorees this year and run the gamut of the industry, from
carriers and brokerages to InsurTechs and claims adjusters, including firms operating in the health, life and benefits sectors.
The slideshow above features the top ten highest-ranking companies representing the property & casualty sector on the 2020 Inc. 5000. The 2020 Inc. 500 is ranked according to each company's revenue percentage growth between 2016 and 2019. Companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent as of December 31, 2019, and have generated revenue as of March 31, 2016. The minimum revenue required for 2016 and 2019 is $100,000 and $2 million, respectively.
