Last week, over 600 attendees gathered at the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation's (IICF) fourth annual Women in Insurance Global Conference, hosted at the Sheraton New York Times Square in New York City on June 12–14. IICF hosts its Women in Insurance Conference every year as either a single global conference or a regional series, hosting four Women's conferences at a location in each of the organization's four chapter regions. This year was the global edition of the annual IICF Women in Insurance Conference, where sessions on issues concerning gender, race and a more culturally-diverse workforce educated and inspired hundreds of insurance professionals in attendance. The conference was held over three days and included networking programs in addition to its dense session offerings that included a range of discussions on career development, leadership strategies, inclusion efforts and the impact of innovation on the workplace. Aside from being a champion for gender equity and inclusion in the workplace, all proceeds from the Women in Insurance Global Conference benefited IICF's Early Literacy Initiative, a program designed to improve early childhood literacy opportunities and expand IICF's Every Day Is a Reading and Writing Day program, developed in partnership with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street. Compiled in the slideshow above, read about some of the key highlights and presentation topics attendees enjoyed at the 2019 IICF Women in Insurance Global Conference.
