Lockton Companies has named Julie Gibson senior vice president, director of marketing, communications and external affairs. Gibson spent the previous seven years as client partnership director at Kansas City-based Global Prairie.

Eric Solash has been appointed global head of capital markets at Victor Insurance Holdings, a managing general underwriter. He previously served as managing director and head of alternative funding at General Electric Company.

Todd Mitchell Associates has appointed Tawana Carter chief marketing officer. Carter previously served as CEO at TCBSolutions, an executive outplacement firm.

Valerie Butt has been named head of casualty for Zurich North America Commercial Insurance, effective Oct. 16. Most recently, Butt served as global head of customer, distribution and market management for Commercial Insurance.

Aon plc has appointed Brian Dougal senior vice president, resident sales director in its Grand Rapids office. Prior to this, he served as West region property practice leader.

Bill Pollert has joined Everest Insurance's marketing & distribution team as a director in the East region. He joins Everest Insurance from Marsh USA where he worked for the last 14 years, most recently serving as senior vice president, portfolio manager within the Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions team.

Managing general agent and Lloyd's coverholder Northeast National Brokerage LLC (NNB) has named Robin Pisecki executive underwriter. Pisecki comes to NNB from Rockhill Insurance Company, a member of State Auto Group, where she worked as specialty lines director.

Kevin Harnetiaux has joined EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants as senior vice president and COO of EPIC's Sacramento region. He joins from the State Fund of California where he served as executive vice president of field operations.

Hawaii Insurance Commissioner Gordon Ito has announced Andrew Kurata's appointment as deputy commissioner and captive insurance administrator for the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Insurance Division. He previously held the position in an acting capacity.

XS Brokers has promoted Gabe Carrieri to national brokerage leader and executive vice president. He first joined XS Brokers in 2005 as an underwriter.
