Insurance producer trade organization Big I New York elected Louis Atti chair of the board for the 2018-19 term. Atti is vice president of The Evans Agency LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Evans Bancorp.

Donald Seibert has been appointed executive vice president of applied analytics for Valen Analytics, an Insurity company, and provider of proprietary data, analytics, and predictive modeling for property & casualty insurers.

XL Catlin has appointed Brent Hoffman global head of claims. Hoffman joined the company in 2014 and most recently held the position of general counsel global claims, with a place on the claims leadership team.

Rob Hausler has been appointed executive vice president for JLT Specialty USA, a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. Based in Houston, Hausler comes to JLT from Marsh where he served as U.S. Energy & Power Practice Leader.

Denim, a provider of a mobile and social media advertising automation platform for financial services companies, has appointed Charlie Turri chief technology officer. Prior to joining Denim, Turri served as vice president of IT for Athene USA and various leadership roles at American General Life & Accident Insurance, an AIG company.

Kevin Kempf has been appointed vice president, head of cargo – U.S., for SafeWaters Underwriting Managers. His primary focus will be on Cargo and Logistics in the U.S. market.

Baldwin & Lyons Inc., a specialty P&C holding company in the transportation and workers' compensation insurance industries, has appointed David W. Michelson to its board of directors. Michelson is a 26-year veteran of National Interstate Corporation where he was most recently a senior advisor for the company.

Carrie Chappie has been appointed president of Conway E&S, an independent wholesale brokerage firm. She has served as senior vice president holding the positions of Midwest branch manager and chief product officer.

AIG announced that Mark D. Lyons will join the company as senior vice president & chief actuary, general insurance, effective June 1, 2018. He is rejoining AIG from Arch Capital Group Ltd. where he served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer since 2012.

Diane Montelione has joined EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultant's financial risk practice as a senior vice president. Montelione previously served as senior vice president at Marsh Inc. where she served for nearly 30 years as a management liability insurance broker.

Aon plc has appointed Janet Osborn resident managing director. Osborn joined Aon in 1999, serving in various roles, including as the Mid Atlantic Market Leader.

Diane Christiansen has been appointed commercial lines placement specialist for Satellite Agency Network Group Inc.'s (SAN) AccessPlus department. Prior to joining SAN Group, she worked as a consultant at MHA Insurance Agency in Burlington, Mass.

Assurant Inc. has appointed Marc Hinkle managing director of Assurant Valuations, an alternative title, valuation and settlement services company. Hinkle joined the Assurant Valuations team in November 2016 as senior vice president.
