Hurricane Harvey tore up large areas of the Texas GulfCoast with gale-force winds and storm surge, and then inundatedvast areas, including Houston, with unprecedented amounts ofrain.

Many businesses in those areas are still shut down, andoperations are only slowly being restored. Moreover, refinerieshave been shut down, which means that companies throughout thecountry will suffer losses because of the storm's impact on thesupply and prices of petroleum-based products.
