There has been growing concern about the risks of sports-relatedconcussions and other injuries as lawsuits filed by professionalfootball players have generated national headlines.
Last week, a federal appeals court approved the NationalFootball League's $765 million concussion settlement.
According to Bloomberg News, the ruling sets in motion theresolution of thousands of lawsuits covering more than 20,000retired players. About 1% of players opted out of the settlement,which is to compensate players for head injuries over the next 65years.
