Farmington Hills, Mich.-based H.W. Kaufman Financial Group has appointed Wayne Bates president of Atain Insurance Cos. and corporate senior vice president of Kaufman Financial Group. He joins from Canopius U.S. Insurance, where he served as president for eight years.

Bermuda-based global specialist insurer Hiscox has named Bryan Falchuk head of Claims for its Hiscox USA business unit. Based in Atlanta, Falchuk replaces Nicole Goodwin, who was appointed chief underwriting officer this past summer. Prior to joining Hiscox, Bryan held several senior roles in insurance and as a consultant with firms, including Liberty Mutual and McKinsey.

Dayton, Ohio-based national insurance provider and program administrator Norman-Spencer Agency Inc. announced the addition of Jodie Organisciak as concrete senior underwriter and the promotion of Jason Norman to recreational marine senior underwriter.

Allianz Group's Chicago-based Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty has named Thomas Williams regional practice leader, Environmental Impairment Liability North America. Based in Atlanta, he will report to Dieter J. Hautzer, vice president and regional head of liability North America. He succeeds Arthur Lu, who was promoted to head of global Environmental Impairment Liability, based in New York City.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based insurance provider Main Street America Group has appointed Nancy Giordano-Ramos vice president and head of bonds. Giordano-Ramos had been interim head of bonds since earlier this fall, following the departure of former bonds vice president Brian Beggs. She will be based in Jacksonville. Giordano-Ramos joined Main Street America in 2010 as director of bonds account management.

North Little Rock, Ark.-based, environmental consulting firm CTEH announced that Raymond Meyer, CEM, has joined the company to lead its emergency response crisis management team. He has more than 35 years of emergency management experience, and is an experienced incident commander and emergency manager, CTEH said.
