NAPSLO's Next Generation will present aLeadership Seminar Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. atthe Marriott Marquis San Diego and all NAPSLO Convention delegatesare invited to attend. The seminar will focus on NAPSLO'slegislative strategy and feature two members of NAPSLO'sWashington, D.C., legislative team as presenters.

Libby Baney and Josh Andrews, with FaegreBD Consulting, willprovide background and updates on legislative issues currentlyfacing the surplus lines industry and discuss NAPSLO's legislativestrategy and how NAPSLO and industry partners work together tomonitor and advocate on these issues.

"We're really pleased to have the opportunity to talk withNAPSLO members directly about some important regulatory andlegislative topics," Baney says. "Information sharing is anessential part of the advocacy process, and we're looking forwardto being part of that dialogue."

Baney serves as senior director with FaegreBD Consulting, andshe has extensive experience helping organizations create andimplement public policy solutions. She holds a B.A. and J.D. fromIndiana University, Bloomington.

David Dow, AmWINS Brokerage, and NAPSLO's Next GenerationPresident, says that he believes the seminar will be particularlyinformative for NAPSLO's Next Generation members as a way for themto gain a big picture view of the Association's advocacy strategyand efforts.

"I believe that the Next Generation of insurance as a whole willbenefit from becoming more educated on these ongoing legislativeissues," Dow said. "It's important for us all to be aware of theprocess in Washington that will shape the future of this industryin which we all have a vested interest."

The workshop will be held in the Temecula Ballroom on Level 1 ofthe Marriott Marquis San Diego.
