Craig Sparks, non-executive Chairman of UnionStandard, was awarded the “Raymond Mauk Leadership Award” onThursday, July 9, in Austin, Texas, at the 23rd AnnualInsurance Council of Texas (ICT) Mid-YearProperty and Casualty Symposium. Sparks is the 18th recipient ofthis prestigious award, which is presented each year by ICT atits annual symposium. As the council's highest honor,it recognizes individuals whose contributions have made asignificant difference in the insurance business.

Lockton announced its appointment ofJay Chappell as Chief Operating Officer for itsLockton Dallas/Fortworth property-casualty operations. Chappellbrings more than 20 years of strategic planning and businessdevelopment experience and will lead a team of 125 associates inboth Dallas and Fort Worth. Chappell will provide leadership andstrategic business oversight for client service for Lockton's riskmanagement.
