The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) has namedMary Cummins executive director of its Midwest division. Cummins’responsibilities include leading IICF’s philanthropic initiativesin the Midwestern region, such as local non-profit grant programsand the Division’s annual series of fundraising, volunteer andnetworking events.

In her new capacity, Cummins will develop and implement keygrowth strategies and maintain ongoing relationships with theexecutive committee, board and foundation team. She will alsooversee the growth of IICF’s Ohio chapter.

“Mary’s extensive experience in fundraising and volunteermanagement will be instrumental in the strengthening of our MidwestDivision and Ohio Chapter,” said IICF CEO Bill Ross. “Her passionfor charitable work and relationship building will be a tremendousasset in her work to foster the Division’s mission of providinggrants and local outreach to community organizations.”

Cummins boasts more than 10 years’ experience in the profit andnonprofit sectors. Her most recent position as marketing manager atSwett & Crawford has gained her significant experience in theinsurance industry. Prior to that, she spent five years with theJuvenile Protective Association in Chicago.

In addition to IICF’s London division, the internationalnonprofit organization operates four domestic divisions that servesthe Midwest, Northeast, Texas-Southeast and the Western UnitedStates. The Midwest division, which is based in Chicago, waslaunched in 2011 and awards grants to regional organizationsannually, with a focus on health, education and safety. Thedivision awarded $545,000 in grants to 29 regional charitableorganizations in 2015.
