The Montana State workers’ compensation fund (MSF) announced on Nov. 14 that more than 23,000 qualifying policyholders will receive part of a $12 million dividend, the largest ever declared by the fund. This marks the 15th consecutive year that MSF has returned dividends to safety-conscious employers.

Laurence Hubbard, president and CEO of the MSF said, in a prepared statement, “It gives us pleasure to financially reward our policyholders who have invested time, money and efforts to create a safer workplace for their employees.”

According to a statement by MSF board chair Elizabeth Best, “It is hoped that employers who receive this dividend will use it to continue to improve safety in the workplace for Montana employees, who the Board recognize to be equal stakeholders.”
