The Workers’ Compensation Institute (WCI) has expanded the program for its annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference (WCEC), to be held Aug. 17-20 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Florida, this year to include a two-day breakout hosted for the direct benefit of insurance agents.

The role for agents dealing in the workers’ compensation system continues to evolve to include such responsibilities as helping clients comply with regulatory and statutory mandates, as well as aiding them in developing more proactive measures and policies in order to help the client get a firmer handle on WC costs. Producers looking to learn how to best serve clients in this market can attend a special session on Aug. 18 in order to become better versed in workers’ compensation and skill up on their customers’ obligations under the law.
