 Stuart Rae joined AmWINS Insurance Brokerage of California as a senior vice president. Rae will work out of the Los Angeles, Calif. office and brings 19 years of industry experience to the role.  John Pritchett joined the company's Alabama team as vice president and casualty broker, with a focus on placing healthcare accounts. Pritchett has 36 years of experience in the industry, specifically in the healthcare sector.
 
Jeffery Beneville was appointed senior vice president and producer for Willis North America's Marine Practice, focusing on the yacht business. Mr. Benevilles resposibilities include business development in the yacht division and expanding the company's footprint. 
 
Glatfelter Insurance Group announced the promotion of Larissa Tosch to vice president and chief information officer. Tosch's new responsibilities include overseeing Glatfelter's information technology infrastructure and staff, as well as application systems.
 
Ben Phillips joined SterlingRisk as the Northeast private client practice leader. Mr. Phillips brings more than nine years of experience to the role, and will spearhead efforts to grow SterlingRisk's Private Client Group and develop the Family Office Space client base.

 

Mergers & Acquisitions
 
Marsh Inc. acquired  Central Insurance Services Ltd., a company based in Alberdeen, Scotland. The acqusitions will allow Marsh to expand its footprint in Scotalnd and the United Kingdom, as Central Insurance Services specializes in providing brokerage and risk advisory services to companies the oil and gas industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ICA Inc., a firm that provides insurance claims adjusting and related services, was acquired by a Brown & Brown Inc. subsidary. The acquired ICA will continue to operate from existing locations in Charlotte, N.C.; Richardson, Texas and Gold River, Colo.
