The National Council of Compensation Insurance (NCCI) isrecommending Louisiana cut Workers' Compensation costs by 5 percentto reflect greater workplace safety in recent years.
|According to the Louisiana Workforce Commission, employersacross the state saw lighter losses in 2010 and 2011. Theseimprovements, according to documents the NCCI filed with theLouisiana Department of Insurance, can be attributed to a decreasein the number of workplace injuries and a reduction in the averagecost per claim.
