As P&C insurers well know, missed subrogation opportunities can gravely impact overall profitability.

However, discerning viable candidates for recovery is tricky business. When dealing with complex property claims especially, adjusters must conduct thorough investigations and stay abreast of the latest product recalls.

Claims recently spoke with Jeffrey M. Zielinski and Richard J. Boyd, Jr., both partners at Nelson Levine de Luca & Hamilton, to underscore how property losses should be investigated and analyzed, and what adjusting approaches will lead to optimal recovery outcomes.
