Despite the sluggish economy and unpredictable fuel costs, recreational boating is alive and well in the U.S. With nearly 12 million registered boats in the country, the opportunity is ripe for agencies to offer a variety of insurance options for their clients who spend time on the water.
Although boat insurance is not required in the U.S.—unless a vessel has a lien holder or a marina requires it—it's in your client's best interest to have liability coverage for injuries or damages to third-parties.
