Cabinet NG, a provider of electronic document management and workflow management software, announces it has changed its name by dropping the NG and going simply by Cabinet in order to build on its core brand identity and simplify its presentation to attract new prospects and customers.

Since being founded as Cabinet NG in 1999, the company has helped clients make the transition to centralized document management, allowing them to operate in multiple locations, support remote workers, meet compliance requirements, reclaim office space and solve a wide range of business problems. The name change reflects Cabinet's expertise in document management, workflow and content sharing solutions.

“The 'NG' stood for next generation, but we have progressed way beyond simply offering the next generation of a filing cabinet and felt that our name should represent who we are today, as well as who we will be years from now,” says Andrew Bailey, president, Cabinet. “Workflow, on-premises and hosted offerings, our new Share portal, and integration with a variety of third party applications are just a few examples of how much we've grown as a document management provider.”
