The theme of the 2012 Risk and Insurance Management Society Conference is “No Boundaries,” and RIMS promises to deliver a week packed with updates on new and popular topics.
Editors from National Underwriter P&C will be on hand throughout the week and are already looking forward to several of the programs on tap.
Editor-in-Chief Bryant Rousseau is planning on attending such programs as “Insured/Insurer Privilege: Can You Tell Your Insurer Your Deepest Secrets?” on April 16; “The Top 10 Things an Employer Can Do to Mess Up a Workers Compensation Claim” on April 17; and “Benjamin Franklin: America's Original Risk Manager” on April 18.
Executive Managing Editor Shawn Moynihan is looking forward to “How to Say Yes: Casting a Positive Light on Risk Management” on Monday; and both “Overseas Suppliers: Risk Analysis and Insurance Solutions” and “Designing Insurance for the C-Suite” on Tuesday.
On Monday, Associate Editor Mark E. Ruquet will be in the audience jury of “On Trial: Inside a Sexual Harassment Lawsuit.” His pick for Tuesday is “Doing Business in Asia: What You Need to Know”; and on Wednesday he will take in “Litigation, Insurance and Crisis Management” as well as the keynote speech from Walter Isaacson, president and CEO of the Aspen Institute and author of the biography “Steve Jobs.”
Assistant Editor/Risk Anya Khalamayzer is planning on hitting Monday's panels “Managing Marine and Cargo Risks in the Gulf of Aden: The Year Ahead” and “Backwards and Forwards: Legal Issues and Cases to Watch from 2011 that will Impact the Future.” On Tuesday she can be found at “We Hold These Truths…Legislative Updates Affecting Risk Management.”
