Ciro M. DeFalco, formerly interim chief financial officer at The Navigators Group Inc., has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Stanley A. Galanski, chief executive officer of New York-based Navigators, says in a statement that the company has “every expectation that [DeFalco] will continue to enhance our culture of integrity, transparency and excellence in all aspects of financial management.”

DeFalco was senior vice president and group planning officer at White Mountains Re Group before joining Navigators, an international specialty insurance holding company, in September 2011.

He has been interim CFO since October 31, following the retirement of Francis W. McDonnell.

DeFalco has held a variety of financial-related senior positions in the industry. He is a graduate of Pace University and Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
