Jimcor hires branch manager: Kristoffer Boyd joined Jimcor Agencies as branch manager at the Plymouth Meeting, Pa., office. Boyd has more than 12 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Patriot National appoints senior vice president: Robert Zamary has been named senior vice president of the newly formed Client Enterprise Services department at Patriot National Insurance Group. Zamary joined the company in 2009 and has served as senior vice president of carrier and outsourcing services.

AmWins hires assistant vice president: Robert Hegarty of AmWINS Brokerage of New York has been hired as assistant vice president and casualty broker. Hegarty has 15 years of experience as an underwriter and wholesale broker. He comes to the company from Swett & Crawford.

Provider names director of private client group: Provider Insurance announced that Kerry Tyrrell has joined the firm as the new director of private client rgoup. In this role, Tyrrell will be responsible for managing the Private Client Group, the personal lines department and act as a producer for the agency.  She will be working out of our Needham, MA office.

PIA awards three: PIA named Babette Roush, CIC,of Associated Insurance Agencies, Westerville, Ohio, its 2011 PIA National Customer Service Representative of the year. Roush is a prvious recipient of the PIA of Ohio Chairman of the Year Award. Also commended was Mark J. LaLonde, CIC, AAI, as the 2011 PIA National Professional Agent of the Year. LaLonde is vice president of Bailey, Haskell and Lalonde in New York. He previously was awarded the Committee Chair of the Year award, the New York PIA Professional Agent of the Year, and has served as president and national director of PIA. Kristen M. Scott, CPIA, has been named the 2011 National Young Insurance Professional of the Year. Scott played a developmental role in Project Y.


New policies

Hanover expands into six Western states: The Hanover Insurance Group will expand its small commercial capabilities in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The company also will expand its point-of-sale system to these states, enabling its agent partners to qualify, quote and issue BOP, commercial auto, umbrella and workers’ compensation policies.
