The 51st Annual Florida Surplus Lines Association (FSLA) convention will be held at the Boca Raton Resort and Club July 28–30.Convention registration materials and an agenda have been sent to members. This material also is available on the FSLA website at www.myfsla.com, along with access to Boca Raton Resort room reservation forms.
There will be six exceptional speakers at the two business sessions. On Friday morning, July 29, the speakers will be Cecil Pearce, president of the Florida Insurance Council, and Jim Carey, president of Admiral Insurance Co. During the Saturday morning session the speakers will be Gary Pullen, executive director of the Florida Surplus Lines Service Office; Douglas Mang of Mang Law Firm, P.A.; Jeff Grady, president of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents; and Stephan Stephen, director of governmental relations at the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices.
Activities and Events
The convention will begin on Thursday afternoon, July 28, when fellowship and refreshments will be available. On Thursday evening a reception will be held for first-time attendees, followed by a reception for all members and guests.
