A contractor at the focus of criminal investigations in the fatal fire at the Deutsche Bank building in 2007 has been hired to work on an office tower at the World Trade Center site, according to a New York Times article.

The city issued a permit 2 weeks ago to the contractor, Regional Scaffolding and Hoisting Co., to install a construction elevator at 4 World Trade Center.

The principals of Regional Scaffolding played roles in the development of the John Galt Corp., which prosecutors say was created in 2007 to mask the involvement of another company in the demolition of the Deutsche Bank building.
