Joseph A. Howse, III passed away on Jan. 10, 2010 in Houston, Texas. He was President of the AAMGA (1981-1982), chairman of Texas Insurance Advisory Association, president of Texas Surplus Lines Association, chairman of Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas and chairman of several Select and Steering committees appointed by the Texas State Board of Insurance.
A. Mason Blodgett passed away on Jan. 14, 2010. He had been an active member of AAMGA since 1958. Those participating in AAMGA University classes with Mr. Blodgett will remember his thought provoking questions during each session, often merging current market conditions with those experienced during the time of the Great Depression or the Roman and Byzantine Empires.
There will be a memorial service on Jan. 29 at 2:00 p.m. PST, Congregational Church of San Mateo, 225 Tilton Ave., San Mateo, Calif.
