Vertafore, a provider of software and services to the insuranceindustry, has announced plans to move its largest data center to ahosting facility in Fort Worth, Tex., operated by Savvis, aprovider of managed and outsourced IT services.

Vertafore will continue to manage its SaaS-based productsinternally, while Savvis will operate Vertafore's scale-related ITinfrastructure. Vertafore's products will continue to run oncompany equipment managed by Vertafore employees.

By co-locating its hosting services in the Savvis facility,Vertafore will increase its network performance through greaterbandwidth and connectivity. Additionally, the facility offers 24x7surveillance and generators to ensure uninterrupted availability ofVertafore's hosted solutions.

The move, which should be completed by May 2010, will beseamless due to the use of remote data replication and duplicatehardware. Customers will not experience any disruption to theirservice during the transition.
