The chief operating officer of Aon Global Risk Consulting urged insurers and brokers to think about the benefits of green product development while speaking at the Assn. of Insurance and Risk Manager’s conference on Tuesday, June 16. According to a recent Aon survey, 82 percent of risk managers feel the insurance industry needs to change its attitude toward corporate social responsibility. With the aim of promoting good corporate citizenship, Andrew Tunnicliffe stressed the importance of creating “influential insurance” products at reduced premiums or with green policy terms.
