Two states have contractor liability bills that will change how agents write coverage. In Texas, Senate Bill 555 (R-Robert Duncan) was approved on March 18. The bill would change a long-standing state law that general contracts can require subcontractors to absolve them from liability on construction projects. The bill now goes to the House for consideration.
