Ohio Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company, is teaming with The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research to offer its Certified School Risk Managers (CSRM) Program in Ohio. The five-course professional designation program is for risk managers for school districts.

The program will be held on February 4 and 5, 2009, and will resume on September 29, 2009, at Ohio Casualty's home office in Fairfield, Ohio. Fundamentals of Risk Management, Handling School Risks, and Measuring School Risks are the first three courses which guide participants through the risk management process, emphasizing practice over theory. The final two courses, Funding School Risks and Administering School Risks, will be scheduled in early 2010.

To complete the CSRM course of study and earn the CSRM designation, participants must successfully pass examinations for each course within three years. To maintain CSRM certification and ensure continuing career development, there is an annual continuing education requirement.
