Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Brown & Brown Inc. has acquired Burt & Associates Benefits Planning Inc. of Elkhart, Ind.

Terms of the deal were not released.

Burt & Associates principal Stanley M. Burt and his staff will continue their operations from their current location as a free-standing profit center.
