Panasonic Computer Solutions Company will release the PanasonicToughbook CF-U1, the first ultra mobile PC (UMPC) to integrate alow-power Intel Atom processor in a handheld computer for use inthe field. This will allow remote workers to connect to criticalinformation and applications in real time.

The CF-U1 integrates features previously only available on afull-size Toughbook PC. The base CF-U1 model is expected to beavailable at an estimated price of $2,499.
