More two-wheeled vehicles are moving Americans as gas prices rise, according to Foremost Insurance, which is responding to the trend with an insurance program designed to cover scooters.
Travelers also responded to a trend associated with rising fuel prices by discounting premiums for electric boaters.
Foremost in Grand Rapids, Mich., said its scooter program will cover a wide variety of models, including Honda, Yamaha, Vespa and Piaggio scooters. The insurer also said it will write liability only, as well as liability and physical damage.
